Instructional Coaching 1
This module explored the foundations of instructional coaching and how it differs from traditional mentoring. Examining evidence-based strategies and key techniques such as target setting, modelling and deliberate practice, mentors will engaged with examples and case studies to exemplify how instructional coaching develops teacher expertise and improves classroom practice.
The aims of this module were to:
- Explore what instructional coaching is and its various different types
- Develop an understanding of the evidence base for instructional coaching
- Learn about and practice instructional coaching techniques.

Awarded for passing the end of module test of the online/mobile course Instructional Coaching 1.
